Fire Alarm System Maintenance

A fire alarm system is not a "fit and forget" product. Components age, environments change, and without regular servicing, a system can silently degrade to the point where it fails when it's needed most.

Our maintenance service meets the full requirements of BS 5839, typically delivered on a six-monthly cycle. We inspect, test and service every element of your system — from control panels and call points to detectors, sounders and batteries — and provide full service reports for your compliance records.

Emergency Lighting Maintenance

Emergency lighting is the system that gets your people out safely when the power fails — and it's a legal requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. But it only works if it's properly maintained.

We carry out monthly flick tests, annual full-duration tests and all servicing required under BS 5266, giving you the certification you need and the confidence that your escape routes will be illuminated when it matters.

Diagrammatic Zone Charts

Clear, compliant zone charts are a BS 5839 requirement — and they're what allows responding engineers and fire crews to quickly locate the source of an alarm. We produce professional, clearly-laid-out zone charts for new installations and for existing systems where documentation is outdated, missing or non-compliant.

Aspirating Smoke Detection Maintenance

Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) systems are specialist, high-sensitivity detection systems used in environments where early warning is critical — data centres, warehouses, clean rooms, heritage buildings and high-ceiling spaces. They need specialist maintenance to keep them performing at the sensitivity levels they were designed for.

Our engineers are experienced in servicing ASD systems, including filter replacement, pipework integrity checks, detector sensitivity testing and calibration.

Fire Door Maintenance

Fire doors are one of the most overlooked elements of a building's fire protection — and one of the most commonly failed items in fire risk assessments. A fire door that doesn't close properly, has damaged seals or is wedged open is effectively not a fire door at all.

We carry out scheduled fire door inspections and maintenance in line with best practice, checking hinges, seals, closers, gaps, signage and integrity, and carrying out remedial work where required. Every inspection is documented for your compliance records.

Access Control Maintenance

Access control systems protect your premises, your people and your data — but like any other electronic system, they need regular servicing to keep performing reliably. Door controllers, readers, locks, request-to-exit devices and credential databases all need periodic attention.

Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

Fire extinguishers are tested and serviced annually in line with BS 5306-3, with extended servicing at longer intervals. We carry out the full range of extinguisher servicing — including discharge testing, recharging and replacement — and provide the certification and records needed for your fire risk assessment.

We'll also advise on extinguisher type, siting and signage if your existing provision isn't right for the building.

CCTV Maintenance

A CCTV system is only as reliable as the maintenance behind it. Cameras drift out of focus, hard drives fail, IR illumination degrades and software updates get missed — all of which can leave you without the footage you need when it matters most.
